Space Dogs 2 Hits U.S. Theaters

Thanks to Epic Pictures, Space Dogs 2: Adventures to the Moon will be released to more than 50 AMC, Ultra Star and Megaplex theaters all over the U.S. starting August 26. ProfiCinema and Russia Beyond the Headlines stated taht the release corresponds with Dog Appreciation Day.

Space Dogs 2: Adventures to the Moon is produced by KinoAtis and was originally released in 2014. It is the follow-up to the successful CG animated adventure that was inspired by the true story of the Belka and Strelka, the first canine cosmonauts who spent one day in orbit on Sputnik 2 in 1960. The English version of the sequel is directed by Mike Disa (Postman Pat: The Movie, Hoodwinked Too!).

Synopsis:

The all-star cast includes popstar Ashlee Simpson and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless). Space Dogs 2: Adventures to the Moon follows the out-of-this-world adventure of a pup astronaut named Pushok as he goes on a mission to find his father who’s trapped on the moon. Pushok blasts off on a rocket in order to rescue his family but then he stumbles upon a tiny green alien and a macho monkey.
