Space Pops Ready for Launch
SpacePop, a new tween girls-targeted entertainment is being produced and licensed by Genius Brands International.
It follows the lives of the tween girls who are inspired by fashion, music and friendship. According to the president of GBI Amy Moynihan, SpacePop is an entire new galaxy for tweens. It was made by some of the most skilled talent in fashion, music and storytelling, which is presented in a way that naturally relates to how tweens consume media nowadays. There will be 2 segments to be released each week to tell the stories of 4 galactic space princesses, together with an inclusive amount of new original music that is also set to be distributed independently.
SpacePop features original music by Ron Fair, a multiple Grammy Award winning record producer and singer-songwriter Stefanie Fair. Han Lee (HLL Design, Bobby Jack) is responsible for the fashion design while the stories are developed by Steve Banks (SpongeBob SquarePants), who’s also an Emmy-winning head writer.
SpacePop is specifically aimed at girls ages 7-12. GBI Production has started on a run of more than 100 animated shorts that are going to be digitally distributed.
