Sprout and Scholastic to Launch Astroblast!


24-hour preschool network Sprout and Scholastic Media have recently partnered in order to launch a new animated space adventure comedy series titled Astroblast! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series is being targeted for a summer 2014 premiere and will be targeted towards kids aged 2 to 5.

Based on the popular series of books by author/illustrator Bob Kolar, Astroblast! focuses on a crew of space animals who run the Astroblast Space Station, which is described as the best hangout in the galaxy. The crew is made up of Comet, Halley, Sputnik, Radar, Jet, and their leader Sal the Octobus. The series will find these 5 steadfast friends encountering various challenges and personality clashes, all of which they can surmount once they learn to accept their differences and help each other.
