According to recent reports, iconic comic book scribe, editor, publisher, and king of superhero movie cameos Stan Lee passed away early Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA. He was 95 years old. The cause of death has not been reported, but considering his age, there are no controversies regarding the undisclosed reason.
Stan Lee is credited as one of the key drivers of the superhero comic book revolution in the 60s, due to his hand in the creation of characters for Marvel comics. These new characters, unlike their peers, were flawed and complex enough to appeal more to an older audience without crossing the line that separates the super hero genre from mature titles. Many of the characters that Stan Lee helped create went on to become household names, and are now key properties at the core of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Stan Lee’s wife of 69 years, Joan Boocock Lee, passed away in 2017. Mr Lee has only recently got out of a messy court battle with the company he co-created, POW Entertainment. He is survived by two offsprings.
