DreamWorks Animation has just announced a new set of additions to the cast list of their upcoming CG/2D hybrid adaptation of Mr. Peabody and Sherman, with the new cast list being helmed by The Colber Report and The Daily Show’s Stephen Colbert, along with Allison Janney of The West Wing, Ellie Kemper of The Office, Ariel Winter of Modern Family, and Stephen Tobolowsky of The Lorax. The new set of cast members will be joining the previously announced Ty Burrel and Max Charles.

DreamWorks also announced some changes in the film’ scheduled release date, with the prior date of spring 2014 being changed to an earlier date, which means our wait time will be shorter as we’ll finally get to watch Mr. Peabody and Sherman on November 8, 2013. DreamWorks’ other CG/2D project Me and My Shadow will be taking over Peabody’s old release date.

“These incredible casting additions have elevated Mr. Peabody & Sherman to a new level of excitement and we are truly fortunate to work with so many talented actors,” said DreamWorks Animation Chief Creative Officer Bill Damaschke. “I’m certain that their collective passion and enthusiasm for the film will bring the classic characters of Mr. Peabody & Sherman to new life and thrill audiences of all ages when we open in November of next year.”
