Zinkia Entertainment’s little boy in blue Pocoyo and the actor/writer/presenter who narrates the show, Stephen Fry, have teamed up to appear together in the “Get Caught Reading” annual national campaign, which is organized by the Association of American Publishers in order to encourage reading amongst people of all ages.
As part of the campaign, posters that feature Pocoyo being “caught reading” with Fry will be made available to teachers and parents, for use in classrooms, libraries, and other places where kids are bound to see them. Stephen Fry has always been a staunch supporter and promoter of literacy programs, and was more than willing to lend his help to the campaign:
“Since I was a young boy reading has given me great joy, transported me to extraordinary places and helped me toexperience amazing escapades,” said Fry. “It is my pleasure to remind others that reading books is an incredible passport to a lifetime of unlimited adventure, and I am honored to participate in this year’s ‘Get Caught Reading’ campaign.”
