A Stork’s Journey Flies to Google Play on June 1

Lionsgate will be bringing the CG animated family comedy A Stork’s Journey to Google Play in the US and Canada on June 28, and they’re going to give it away free until June 28. Folks should take advantage of the free digital debut because once that’s done, the film gets right on ahead with its theatrical release on June 30 – and you gotta pay for that one. This will be followed by a home video roll-out on DVD. Digital HD, and VOD on July 4.

A Stork’s Journey features the voices of Drake Bell (Superhero Movie, Drake and Josh), YouTube star Justine “iJustine” Ezarik, and Jane Lynch (Glee, Wreck-It Ralph), and will follow the story of an orphaned sparrow named Richard, who mistakenly believes himself to be a stork like his adoptive family. But when winter comes along and the flock prepares to migrate to Africa, Richard’s adoptive family must leave him behind in the forest as sparrows are unable to survive the long journey. Determined to prove he is a stork, Richard goes on an epic adventure towards south, accompanied by a number of friends big and small.
