Studio 100, Shout! Factory Sign New Deal for Maya the Bee Film Series

Studio 100 Media and Shout! Factory are increasing their distribution alliance with a new deal for Studio 100’s Maya and the Bee property. The announcement was made by Shout! Factory Founders Bob Emmer, Richard Foos and Garson Foos together with Studio 100 CEO Patric Elmendorff.

Shout! Factory has secured exclusive distribution rights to Maya the Bee movie sequels in North America including VOD, digital, theatrical and broadcast and home entertainment for cross-platform releases. A planned rollout of the new films will start with Maya the Bee 2 – The Honey Games in 2017 through Shout! Factory Kids. Details of the production will be revealed in the coming months.

The CG animated Maya and the Bee Television Series as well as the 2014 movie have been successful all over the world for Studio 100, riding on the recognition of the popular children’s novel where it inspired from. Alexs Stadermann directed the first film and it was produced by Studio 100 Media and Buzz Studios in association with Flying Bark Productions.
