DHX Media has just started production on a new 2D animated kids’ comedy series titled Supernoobs, which has been commissioned by Teletoon Canada and acquired by cartoon Network U.S. Supernoobs is targeted towards kids aged 6 to 11 and is being produced at DHX’s Vancouver studio. The show is created by Johnny Test creator Scott Fellows.
SuperNoobs focuses on preteen best friends Kevin, Tyler, Shope, and Roach as they try to survive all the microcosmic assassins infecting earthlings in the hopes of destroying the entire world. Unfortunately for the quartet, they also need to balance saving the world with the harrowing middle school life.
DHX holds SuperNoobs’ TV, licensing and merchandising rights globally with the exclusion of initial Canadian and U.S. broadcast rights, which are held by Teletoon and Cartoon Network, respectively.
