Tangled to Get its Own TV Series
Disney has recently announced that a new animated TV series based on the hit CG animated film Tangled has just begun production. The series is targeting a 2017 worldwide premiere and will feature the return of original voice cast members Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, who played Rapunzel and Eugene, respectively.
The Tangled TV series will be set between the events of the film and the 2012 short film Tangled Ever After, with Rapunzel acquainting herself with her long lost parents, her kingdom, and the people of Corona. Unfortunately, this stoked the fires of her adventurous personality, and she has resolved to put both her crown and impending marriage on hold so that she can seek out adventures. The King won’t have to worry, because Rapunzel is not going at it alone – she will be accompanied by Eugene, the chameleon sidekick Pascal, the strong willed horse Maximus, the Snuggly Ducking Pub Thugs, and a new character: the though as nails handmaiden Cassandra.
