TELETOON to Develop Show Based on Chop Chop Ninja
Canada’s Sardine Productions, together with Gamerizon Studio, have inked a development deal with TELETOON Canada for the development of a brand new animated TV show based on the Chop Chop Ninja series of mobile game, which has reached over 5 million downloads worldwide, with a second game called Chop Chop Ninja World slated for release this year.

The Chop Chop Ninja series will focus on a super ninja named Iro, who decides to defend his town from malevolent warlords and their evil underlings, all the while trying to win the coveted title of Chop Chop Ninja. The series will be developed in tandem with the new game, and will be linked in several ways, making it one of the few examples of true transmedia experience. The entire project will consist of 52 x 11 minute episodes, 52 x 1 minute episodes, as well as original web-based content.

“Chop Chop Ninja brings television to a whole new level. This unique series will expand TELETOON’s senses with experiences on-screen, online and more,” said Alan Gregg, Director, Original Content, TELETOON Canada Inc. “Working with a remarkable group of talent, we continue to be inspired by the development of this property.”
