The Dragon Prince Makes a Grand Return to Netflix Next Month
The hit animated Netflix series The Dragon Prince is returning to the streaming service for its second season. The announcement came via a panel held at the Anime Los Angeles con last Saturday. According to the series creators, season two will officially debut on Netflix by February 15. The new season will bring new characters, new adventures, and all manner of challenges to hurdle for the show’s young heroes.
The Dragon Prince’s second season will consist of nine episodes, and will continue to follow the action-packed fantasy adventures of Rayla, Callum, and Ezran. The trio are still on their way to Xadia, but the journey will not be easy – they will face new foes and will struggle with trust and betrayal. Of course, one shouldn’t forget that this is The Dragon Prince, so you can expect a whole lot of vicious dragons and dark magic. Can the trio of heroes fulfill their mission while keeping the newly-hatched Dragon Prince, Zym, safe?
The Dragon Prince is produced by Wonderstorm and led by co-creators Aaron Ehasz (head writer of Avatar: The Last Airbender) and Justin Richmond (game director of Uncharted 3), with exec producer Giancarlo Volpe (director on Star vs. The Forces of Evil, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender).
Season one of The Dragon Prince is currently available to stream on Netflix.
