Toei to Bring Driland to MIPCOM

Toei Animation will be introducing a new animated series called Driland at the MIPCOM market at Cannes this year. The new series is based on the popular social game of the same name, which was developed by social game developer GREE.

The 13 x 20 animated series will be bringing the game’s exciting storyline and rich mythology to life by focusing on the adventures of the game’s main characters, Princess Davina and her ragtag band of heroes – Milo the manservant, Horace the hunter and Ryan, the rear guard – as they go on a quest to find the most important treasure throughout Driland, but it’s not going to be an easy job as they need to contend with various monsters and come face to face with an ancient evil that is making its way across the land.

“Since its debut in the gaming world, Driland has captured the imaginations of millions of players,” said Hiroyuki Kinoshita, managing director for Toei Animation. “With the series, we’re bringing the game’s legend to the next level by expanding on its memorable characters and developing a unique storyline that will be embraced by fans and newcomers worldwide.”

Driland is produced by Toei Animation and is available for viewing at MIPCOM stand # R35.17.
