A few months ago, Toonami decided to forego airing Inuyasha’s Final Act despite the series being popular among viewers, mainly because they were already losing the broadcast rights to the franchise. However, it seems luck is on the fans’ side as Toonami has recently announced that they will be airing Inuyasha: The Final Act after all. The programming block is will be airing the episodes starting on November 15th, according to their official Twitter account.
Inuyasha: The Final Act consists of episodes based on the last 21 volumes of the manga series, which follows Inuyasha, Kagome, and companions Miroku, Sango, Shippo and Kirara as they search for the final fragments of the shattered Sacred Shikon Jewel and approach their final battle with Naraku. The Final Act is the final season of the anime, which is the reason why the previous decision to forego airing was met by complaints from fans of the series.
According to Toonami, they don’t expect to make many edits regarding content, but the ones that will be done will be in line with TV-MA content restrictions.
