ToonBarn’s Coverage of New York Comic Con Coming Soon!

Welcome to ToonBarn's Coverage of New York Comic Con 2013

If you have been paying attention to Twitter over the last four days, and you follow any people who enjoy geek and pop culture, cosplay, comics, TV, movies, animation, video games, art, or books, then you probably knew that New York Comic Con was taking over New York City at the Javits Center. You may have been able to obtain a lot of instant information from Live-Tweeters who attended the panels. I even did that myself from my twitter account: @starwarsfans.

If you didn’t follow Twitter, then you might want to check out some or all of our coverage from New York Comic Con. ToonBarn was there to take in everything related to animation that we could handle from Thursday, October 10 to Sunday, October 13.

Over the next two weeks, we will be putting all of the panels, interviews, video and pictures through our editing funnel to bring you the best stories we can from everything our cameras captured. You’ve already seen our first story that Neil wrote about the Star Wars Rebels Panel. That one had news spread across the world as fast as a digital signal will go, as soon as the panel was over. We’ll give you our perspective on that panel from our front row seats. You can also expect stories about the following:

Voltron/Robotech Crossover Comic Book Panel
Toon Hero – an iPad app that lets you make your own cartoons
Justice League: War – Interviews and Panel
Batman: The Brave and the Bold Blu-Ray Premiere – Red Carpet Interviews
Robot Chicken Interview and Panel
SimulTV – A new streaming TV service that has 4 cartoon channels
The Legend of Korra Panel – with an episode screening
Timebox: Adventure Time Panel
I Know That Voice Panel – A Voice actors documentary!
Our re-cap of everything New York Comic Con!
Voltron 30th Anniversary Preview Panel – Lot’s of fun!

Did you notice the Voltron bookends? That’s a hint. You’re going to need some space on your bookshelf next year. Then again, you may want to show this one on your coffee table, for everyone to see. Check out the Voltron 30th Anniversary Panel article coming soon, for more about that.

Keep watching ToonBarn for NYCC articles coming your way soon!

Marc Morrell

I am a Big Fan of all types of animation. Like a lot of things, the cream always rises to the top. My favorites have included Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Rebels, anything Pixar, Phineas and Ferb, Voltron Legendary Defender, and the DC/WB Animated Films. I have a lot of Old School favorites as well, such as Star Blazers, Voltron, Looney Toons, Tom & Jerry, and Scooby Doo.
