LET THE MATCH BEGIN!
Huntik: Secrets & Seekers (ITALY)
Huntik: Secrets & Seekers is an Italian-based, animated series which was created and directed by Iginio Straffi. Huntik is an action-adventure comedy about a group of Seekers traveling around the globe in search of ancient Amulets that can produce different types of monsters.
Long before our time, humanity fought against an evil of unimaginable power. The darkness was broken only by the Seekers, humans able to invoke legendary creatures -the Titans -into their own plane of existence. With the Titans executing their every order, the first Seekers fought against the dark forces of the underworld and against themselves. Centuries went by, and one by one, the Titans were hidden; some were buried following grueling battles, while others were merely forgotten as time passed. The magical and powerful creatures lie hidden and dormant in the most remote parts of the universe, waiting to be awoken by a new group of Seekers.
After centuries passed, the Seekers divided themselves into groups in order to find traces and clues of past and extinct populations in order to reveal the mystery of the Titans. One such division, The Huntik Foundation, travels in search of these answers: from the tip of South America to Europe; from North America to the African terrains. Only the most worthy of Seekers are able to invoke the Titans and benefit from their unbelievable powers. But there are those who plot in the shadows: a secret organization, led by the The Professor, is another division of Seekers and wants to possess the Titans’ powers for their own evil plans.
Lok Lambert is the main character of the Huntik television series. He is the son of legendary Seekers, Eathon and Sandra Lambert. He is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal during season 1 and Drew Aaron in season 2 in the English version. Alessio Nissolino provides his voice in the original Italian.
Sophie Casterwill, also known as Sophie Casterville in the Italian version, is the best friend and classmate of Lok Lambert. She particularly enjoys reading books, and has an excellent memory for myths and legends. As one of the last surviving noble of the Casterwill family, she has been raised from birth to be a Seeker. She is not actually part of The Huntik Foundation, but they have an alliance based on the need to fight evil. When talking gets nowhere, Sophie Casterwill uses powerful attack and defense magic along with Mighty Sabriel, an elegant Titan that favors speed over brawn.
As the top Operative of the Huntik Foundation, Dante Vale is the king of treasure hunters. With the mind of a hard-boiled detective, the body of an extreme sports athlete and the nerves of a cowboy gunslinger at High Noon, Dante leads the team of Lok Lambert, Sophie Casterwill, and Zhalia Moon. Along with his signature Titan, the powerful Caliban, Dante Vale has played an enormous role in several major events in the modern Seeker world.
Zhalia Moon is like an elegant lone wolf; she is a witty, yet reserved lady who had an ongoing bitterness with fellow hero Sophie Casterwill. Zhalia Moon was once a rival of Dante’s team, but she later decided to join them instead. An orphan, her troubled past is initially shrouded in mystery. She had a connection to The Organization, but she shows no sign of betraying our heroes. Additionally, her developing feelings for Dante Vale may be causing her to question her loyalties. Her signature titan is Gareon.
Den Fears is a boy that used to live in the orphanage where Zhalia Moon previously grew up. Den is forced to become part of the Bloodspiral; however he is a good Seeker and despite his hatred of bullies at the orphanage, does not bond to the Marauder that Tantras gave him. His brother, Harrison Fears, is an important Silent Soldier of the Bloodspiral Brotherhood. Both are marked with the Bloodspiral brand. Den escaped and, aided by the same Zhalia from the orphange, entered the Huntik Foundation after bonding to Vigilante. Den was sort of a replacement of Zhalia when she infiltrated the Bloodspiral Brotherhood, so the team could still be composed of four people.

Punky is an Irish animated television series created by Lindsay J. Sedgwick and produced by Dublin based Monster Animation and Design. The series is the world’s first animated series featuring a lead character with Down Syndrome.
Punky relates stories from the everyday life of a six-year-old girl who has Down Syndrome. Punky is a happy little girl who loves music, dancing and hugs. She likes to play with her big brother, Con, and her dog, Rufus. She also tries to make Cranky, her grandmother, just a little less cranky.
The lead character is voiced by Aimée Richardson, a 29-year-old Dublin woman who has Down Syndrome.
Punky is the star of our show. She’s a happy little girl who loves music, dancing and hug. And she has Down syndrome. Punky loves playing with her big brother, Con, and jumping around with her dog, Rufus. She enjoys helping around the house with Mum and trying to make Cranky (her grandmother) just a little less cranky. As a child with Down syndrome, Punky lives in the moment. If something isn’t right, if someone has a problem, Punky will set out to fix it. To Punky, the solution is always simple.
Con, Punky’s older brother, loves hanging out with his friends, listening to music and skateboarding. Sometimes reluctant to get involved in Punky’s adventures, he usually finds that, when he finally helps out (and he always does), he has a fun time. Even if that means risking embarassment the odd time. Punky is his favourite person in all the world. After all, nobody has a little sister that loves him as much as his little sister.
Mum keeps everything running smoothly in the home, which isn’t always easy with two children and a dog causing so much chaos. She’s always busy. And yet, somehow, always finds time for Punky.
Cranky, Punky’s grandmother, is a permanent grump. The only things that seem to give her pleasure are cups of tea and watching the horses. But Cranky has a mischievous side, one that Punky always seems to find. And the two of them usually end up having far more fun than Cranky would ever like to admit.
