New Trailer for CG Captain Harlock Movie

A new trailer has just been released for the upcoming CG movie remake for the classic space opera anime, Captain Harlock. The trailer, which clocks in at a hefty (for teaser trailers, at least) 3 minutes, was first released on the movie’s official site but you can view it below:

The original Captain Harlock anime and manga was created by legendary artist Leiji Matsumoto (Galaxy Express 999, Space Battleship Yamato). The new trailer focuses more on a new character named ama (Haruma Miura), who has joined the starship Arcadia after being ordered by the government to assassinate Harlock (Shun Oguri).

The Captain Harlock CG film will hit Japanese theaters on September 7 in both 2D and 3D.
