Trailer: Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You CG Feature

It’s already September, and the BER prefix means that people are now given carte blanche to play as much Christmas music as they want, regardless of how annoying it is to neighbors. One of the usual songs that get MASSIVE play is Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You. This coming November 14, you’re going to get more of that song but in an entirely new medium: CG animated feature.

Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas is narrated by the best selling diva herself, and will be released on Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital, and On Demand from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The feature is an adaptation of the illustrated book of the same name, and will focus on little Mariah as she desperately wishes to find the puppy named Princess after finding said puppy at the pet store under the tree on Christmas morning. o make her wish come true, Mariah must show responsibility by dog-sitting her uncle’s scraggly rascal, Jack — the worst dog in the country! Jack’s antics turn her family’s perfect holiday preparations upside down in hilarious ways. Even though it isn’t exactly the Christmas she wished for, Mariah realizes it was more than she ever wanted.

You can check out the trailer below:

All I Want for Christmas features the voices of Breanna Yde (School of Rock) as Mariah, Henry Winkler (Royal Pains) as Grandpa Bill, Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls) and Phil Morris (Smallville) as Mariah’s mother and father, Penelope and Bud; with Laya Hayes (Doc McStuffins) as Mariah’s friend Vicky, and Keiko Agena (Gilmore Girls) as pet adoption facilitator Emiko. In addition to narrating, Carey performs an all-new original song “Lil Snowman” for the movie, which naturally features “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and the pop queen’s other holiday classics, “Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)” and “Christmas Time Is in the Air.”
