Treehouse Picks Up Masha and The Bear
Animaccord studio and Corus Entertainment have recently signed an agreement that will bring the hit CG animated short series Masha and the Bear to Canadian preschool network Treehouse. Under the deal, Corus Entertainment gets the rights to air seasons one and two of the show. Masha and the Bear is slated to debut on Saturday, April 15 at 10:30 AM ET/PT on Treehouse, with regular airings continuing every Sundays at 10:55 AM.
This is not the first time the hilarious Masha and the Bear shorts graced Canadian screens, as Corus Entertainment’s kids channel Teletoon and Tele Quebec have already debuted the series for both English-speaking and French-speaking Canadians.
Masha and the Bear is beloved all over the world, having aired in more than 100 countries and have delighted kids with the hilarious antics of a precocious, hyperactive girl and a bear that plays the role of adoptive father figure. Many of the episodes involve Bear getting caught in Masha’s harebrained schemes and doing his very best to protect his ward from harm.
