Turning Mecard W: Vandyne’s Secret hits Korean TV screens
Sono Kong, Choirock Contents and Heewon Entertainment’s Turning Mecard has stealthily launched a new entry in South Korea. Turning Mecard W: Vandyne’s Secret is a brand new six 30-minute episode mini-series that debuted on Tooniverse on October 15th. It follows the fan favorite character Vandyne as his hidden secrets are revealed. Unlike the Turning Mecard R reboot, which exclusively uses 3DCG visuals, this series is like the earlier entries and is animated with 2D and 3D visuals.
The mini-series is part of a new promotional campaign from Sono Kong. The Korean toy manufacturer will launch four new mechanimals this month at retail.

Vandyne’s Secret is in addition to the currently airing Turning Mecard R and the upcoming Dino Mecard series. Sono Kong, Choirock Contents and Heewon Entertainment’s franchise now encompasses Turning Mecard (52 x 30 minutes), Turning Mecard W (52 x 30 minutes), Turning Mecard W: Revival of Black Mirror (1 x 72 minutes), Turning Mecard R (26 x 12 minutes) and Dino Mecard (52 x 30 minutes).
Mattel is releasing the first season of the show internationally. The first season of Turning Mecard, as well as the toyline, have launched in Australia, Canada and Singapore with more markets to be added in the future.
