Vicky the Viking Returns in New 3D Series
July 10th, 2015 – that’s today, if the calendar is working correctly – marks the 40th anniversary of Runer Jonsson’s classic character, Vicky the Viking, and in order to celebrate the occasion, Studio 100 and Flying Bark Productions have teamed up in order to produce a new 3D version of the series.
The new series is scheduled to start airing regularly on Clan during Mondays to Fridays at 6:00 pm, bringing its trademark adventure, comedy, and entertainment alongside wholesome family values that promote team work, ingenuity and family spirit.
For the uninitiated, Vicky the Viking is based on Swedish author Runer Jonnson’s series of children’s books, and focuses on the adventure of the titular hero, who is a brave and intelligent 10 year old Viking that usually ends up solving all the troubles of his father’s clan.
Vicky the Viking is produced by Studio 100 and Flying Bark Productions in association with ZDF and TF1. Planeta Junior manages TV rights and licenses for the series in Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece.
