This October, The Last: Naruto the Moviewill be getting a home video release but VIZ Media is not going to let it end at that. Naruto’s offspring Boruto will also get his time in the sun, as Boruto: Naruto the Movie will be screening in select theaters across the US and Canada on the same month.
The Last: Naruto the Movie will make its way to retailers via a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack ($29.99 / $37.48 CAN) or standard DVD ($19.98 / $24.98 CAN) editions on October 6. The movie is described as the final chapter in Naruto’s story, set a couple of years after his fateful battle with Sasuke at the Valley of the End. With the two best friends having made amends, the ninja world is at peace and a new generation of ninjas are free to follow their own ninja way. However, a mysterious and powerful new stranger appears, warning of an impending doom.
After the retail debut of The Last: Naruto the Movie, it’s the next generation’s turn October 10 will see subbed theatrical screenings of Boruto: Naruto the Movie in 52 cities across North America. This feature is set many years after the end of the series, with Naruto now serving as the Seventh Hokage and leading a new generation of shinobi, including his own son Boruto and Sasuke’s daughter, Sarada.
