Warner Bros to Debut New LEGO Videogame

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and the Lego Group have jointly announced the new Lego: Legends of Chima series of videogames, which is scheduled for launch this 2013 on various platforms.

The three Lego: Legends of Chima videogames will provide unique and exciting adventures that will complement the upcoming Lego: Legends of Chima universe of products, which will consist of construction sets, vehicles, TV content, and more. The concept behind the Legends of Chima brand is based on a fantasy land inhabited by different magical animal tribes, and the classic battle between good and evil, and the importance of friendship and family.

“We are doing something innovative with LEGO Legends of Chima™ by making three distinct videogame experiences on a variety of platforms,” said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Production and Development, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “By creating multiple LEGO videogame experiences for one brand, we are catering to today’s diverse gaming community, as well as establish a rewards system for players of all three games.”

The three games that make up the Lego: Legends of Chima series of videogames consist of the following:

Lego: Legends of Chima – Speedorz, which is a racing minigame produced by TT Games and 4T2. Speedorz is already available on but will also be released for iOS today.

Lego: Legends of Chima – Laval’s Journey, which is developed by TT Games, is an action adventure game slated for release on the Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita handhelds in summer 2013 and for the Nintendo DS handheld in fall 2013.

Fall 2013 will also see the release of a free to play online game called Lego: Legends of Chima Online, which is being developed and maintained by WB Games Montreal.
