Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has joined forces with TT Games in order to develop and launch a new LEGO game based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s massively popular property The Lord of the Rings for both the Nintendo 3DS and the PS Vita handheld systems.
With LEGO: The Lord of the Rings, family members of all ages can play the role of their favorite members of the Fellowship in cute LEGO forms, as they embark on epic quests and fight equally blocky wrong doers in an effort to save Middle-Earth.
“With LEGO The Lord of the Rings, we are taking players on a truly remarkable adventure that is more epic than any they’ve experienced before in a LEGO game,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games. “The game has a wonderful cast of characters, dramatic battles, and amazing locations, all of which bring The Lord of the Rings story to life in a uniquely LEGO way that the entire family will enjoy together.”
The Nintendo 3DS and PS Vita versions of LEGO Lord of the Rings are already available now, with Xbox 360, Wii, and Windows PC versions to follow on November 13, 2012.
