Warner Bros. Releases Harry Potter for Kinect

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Eurocom have jointly announced the North American release of a new Harry Potter game for Xbox 360’s Kinect. The game will allow players to join Harry, Ron, and Hermione on an fun-filled magical adventure through Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and beyond.

Harry Potter for Kinect will utilize the state of the art face recognition technology of the Kinect in order to create a wizard of witch character in the likeness of the players, so that they can play as themselves instead of using generic stock characters. The Kinect also provides both motion activated controls and voice-recognition for casting spells and in game movement, particularly with regards to repelling Dementors and competing in Quidditch matches.

Harry Potter for Kinect is based on all eight Harry Potter films, and gives players the chance to relive some of the most memorable moments in the films during the story mode, aside from various multiplayer modes like minigames and co-op.

Harry Potter for Kinect is now available for the suggested retail price of $49.99 (U.S.). The game is rated E10+, appropriate for everyone 10 years and older. For more information about Harry Potter for Kinect, visit
