Netflix is starting the year with a great cartoon-heavy bang with a bunch of new additions to their original programming catalogue, and one of the more notable additions is the Netflix streaming debut of Trolls: The Beat Goes On, which debuted on the streaming service last Friday. Produced by DreamWorks Animation Television, Trolls: The Beat Goes On is a 2D animated spin-off series that features the return of Poppy, Branch, King Peppy, Smidge and the rest of the gang for immersive, hand-drawn 2D animated adventures full of musical and visual delights for all ages.
Trolls: The Beat Goes On will be launching with 6 x 30 min episodes, with Matthew Beans (Robot Chicken) attached as executive producer. The series boasts an impressive voice cast that includes Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect 1 and 2) and Amanda Leighton (This Is Us, The Fosters) as the voices of Branch and Poppy, with Ron Funches, Gary Cole and David Koechner. Plus, original songs written and produced by Alana Da Fonseca (Pitch Perfect 3).
