WATCH: New Trailer for Michael B. Jordan’s gen:LOCK

As a way of promoting the season one finale of gen:LOCK, Rooster Teeth recently unveiled a new trailer designed to encourage viewers to binge the first seven episodes. We want to spare you the hassle of clicking away from Toonbarn, so we embedded the trailer below:

For the uninitiated, gen:LOCK is a sci-fi mecha anime that stars Michael B. Jordan, Dakota Fanning, Maisie Williams, Asia Kate Dillon, Golshifteh Farahani and David Tennant. It is a western anime produced by Rooster Teeth in Austin, Texas, the same team behind the international anime phenomenon, RWBY.

The story of gen:LOCK is set fifty years into the future, where an oppressive autocratic force is bent on conquering the world. The only hope lies in the hands of a daring team recruited to pilot a new form of weaponized neuroscience that powers devastating mecha, but they must be willing to sacrifice everything to save the world.

gen:LOCK episode 1 is free to watch and subsequent episodes are exclusive for paying members. gen:LOCK premieres weekly on Saturdays.
