Wildbrain to Manage Jibjab’s StoryBots on Youtube

JibJab Bros. Studios has recently signed a multi-year partnership deal with digital kids’ network and studio Wildbrain, which gives the latter the opportunity to manage and grow the former’s award-winning multiplatform learning program, StoryBots, on Youtube. As part of the deal, Wildbrain will be using advertising video on demand (AVOD) platforms to help bolster the online audience of StoryBots on Youtube.

StoryBots is about a group of cute little creatures that reside underneath our screen, where they offer a world of learning and fun for kids, parents, and educators. The property has already built a successful channel and already has a couple of successful Netflix Original series under their belt, titled Ask the StoryBots and StoryBots Super Songs. Both shows are also officially available on Youtube’s service.

“We are honored that JibJab Bros. Studios chose WildBrain to manage their premium educational content on YouTube,” says Jon Benoy, WildBrain’s head of sales. “Our team has extensive experience growing online audiences for well-known children’s brands, and we’re also highly adept at developing and managing educational content for young audiences. StoryBots has already done incredibly well on YouTube and we look forward to continuing this growth.”

“The StoryBots YouTube channel has quickly become a fixture in so many homes and classrooms, with more than a half-billion minutes watched and 340,000 subscribers,” says Gregg Spiridellis, CEO of JibJab and co-founder of StoryBots. “It’s one of our biggest discovery tools, and we look forward to leveraging WildBrain’s expertise to both nurture and grow this audience, while also driving viewers to our educational website, apps and other products.”

Wildbrain is definitely up to the task, boasting of 35 million subscribers and having generated over 55 billion minutes of watch time from the period of July to December 2017. Like many of the channels under their wing, Wildbrain will be distributing and managing the content of Storybots on Youtube, and will also perform moderation and monitoring of the comments and the unofficial content generated from the property.
