Pixar’s upcoming retro videogame inspired feature Wreck-It Ralph has just released a new TV spot with an 80s-inspired retro advert feel. The TV spot works as a mock advertisement for a new, cutting-edge title available at “Litwak’s Arcade.” The TV spot certainly looks the part, as even the degraded quality you would expect from a commercial taped in the 80s has been emulated:
Wreck-It-Ralph follows the story of the game’s villain, Ralph, as he grows tired of being the villain all his life. So he decides to migrate to a neighboring game and try his hand at being a protagonist. Unfortunately, it seems that the act of jumping to a different game has dangerous consequences and could put the entire arcade in jeopardy. It is now up to Ralph and his videogame character friends to try and fix things.
Wreck-It Ralph features the vocal talents of Jane Lynch, John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, and Sarah Silverman. It opens in the UK on February 15, 2013.
