Xbox to Get Halo Digital Feature from Ridley Scott

According to a recent report by TheWrap.com, Microsoft’s Xbox Entertainment Studios will be producing a new digital feature based on the popular first person shooter franchise Halo, and will be produced in collaboration with 343 Industries and Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions.

Battlestar Galactica’s Sergio Mimica-Gezzan is set to direct. Additional details will be revealed at the upcoming E3 Expo in LA.

The aforementioned Halo digital feature is separate from the Halo premium digital series, which is executive produced by Steven Spielberg and is still on track. Both upcoming Halo features are also not the first screen adaptations of the game, a five part web series titled Halo 4: Forwad into Dawn was released on Machinima Prime last 2012 alongside the release of Halo 4.
