Xilam Hit 10 Billion Youtube Views in 2018
French indie outfit Xilam Animation had a very, very good year in 2018. Their YouTube channel hit a milestone on December 31, 2018, hitting 10 Billion total views. The massive amount of Youtube is far from their only success, as 2018 also sawtheir brands attract 44% more cumulative traffic compared to the previous year. It is said that the increase in views resulted from the doubling of visits from viewers in the US. Their subscription also saw massive growth, hitting 6.3 million subscribers at the end of the year, which marks a 162% increase over 2017’s 2.4 million subs.
This is particularly good news as revenue from Youtube will make up 10% of Xilam’s turnover for fiscal year 2018, with their turnout for 2019 looking even more sunny. Xilam’s growth is thanks to two territories, namely the U.S. and Asia, which is currently experiencing an expansion in terms of animated programming and viewership.
Xilam plans to strike while the iron is hot, so 2019 will see the launch of their dedicated Paprika channel aimed towards preschoolers, as well as a localized Oggy and the Cockroaches channel for India.
