The hit Japanese videogame-turned-toon Yo-Kai Watch’s first season is getting ready to roll out in several international regions throughout the year, starting with the debut on Cartoon Network in the U.K. on April 23. The series was made by gaming studio LEVEL-5. It follows the story of Nate, a boy whose special watch lets him see and interact with Yo-Kai, the mysterious creatures that are secretly in charge for all types of daily trouble.
After the U.K. launch, the series is set to arrive in more than 100 territories all over the world. It will premiere on BOING in April in France, on Gulli on September 1 and on Cartoon Network in March 2017. The show will be aired in Nickelodeon in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium starting May 21. In Italy, Yo-Kai will launch first in April on Cartoon Network and later on BOING.
The series will also be aired by BOING in Africa and Spain beginning in May. Cartoon Network will further roll-out the series in CEE, the Nordics, Turkey, Poland and Portugal. Yo-Kai Watch is also set this summer in Israel and on to-be-announced channels in Ukraine and Russia this fall.
The series airs on Disney XD in the U.S. every day at 5 p.m.
