Last January, fans of the cult-favorite JRPG franchise Ys were disappointed that the PC version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA was put on hold. And worse, the duration for the delay was specified as “indefinitely.” Many fans thought that the developers hit a snag that they can’t seem to surmount. But thankfully, whatever problems they initially had seems to be solved now. According to a recent statement from NIS America president and CEO Takuro Yamashita, Ys VIII will be coming to PC this April.
Mr Yamashita also revealed that their problems were not with the translation. Instead, they had trouble porting the RPG to Steam. For more details, you can check out Yamashita’s interview with Greg’s RPG HeaveN below:
While we still don’t have a concrete release date, one has to admit that “April” sounds a whole heck of a lot better than “on hold, indefinitely.”
