Game developer Zeptolab, which is the company behind the hit game Cut the Rope, has recently launched a new live-action/animated hybrid series titled Om Nom Stories, which is based on the little green monster from the Cut the Rope game.
Set in a live-action world, the series will feature an animated version of Om Nom interacting with live objects such as pets, people, and various fixtures. The first season consists of 10 episodes, with the first one running just under 90 seconds. The first season’s episodes will be shown via Zeptolab’s Youtube channel all the way through the beginning of 2013.
Discussions for a second season, which will include over 40 episodes, are already underway. Zeptolabs has also released a new video player for Cut the Rope and Cut the Rope: Experiments, which is available via an update to the games across all iOS and Android platforms. The apps can be used to watch Om Nom Stories directly from their devices.
