Nintendo debuts Epic Mickey footage at E3

At this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, Nintendo’s keynote presentation debuted something awesome for Disney fans and platform video game fans alike: the first real footage of Epic Mickey. Just moments ago, we got our first glimpse of the footage, seeing the famed and iconic Mickey Mouse leap and paint his way through danger. There appear to be touches of the Kingdom Hearts series, with Mickey interacting with other Disney characters, like Peter Pan’s Smee. The core game mechanic, drawing and erasing, is meant to be a signature ability for Mickey, to restore the character to stardom – players can literally change the game world in their efforts to save it. The footage is still early (only off the big screen) but it’s already made E3 2010 an exciting one!
