North America Gets First Taste of Pokken Tournament Through Dave & Busters
North American fans of the strange Pokemon/Tekken hybrid Pokken Tournament should check around if they have a Dave and Busters nearby, as the restaurant/arcade chain’s SVP of Entertainment and Game Strategy, Kevin Bachus, recently revealed via a Reddit AMA that they have plans to work with Bandai Namco Games in order to get the game first for testing purposes.
Bachus noted that both Dave & Busters and Bandai Namco are “more optimistic about [Pokkén Tournament] and our typical guests than Tekken.” Tekken 7 was originally tested at a few Dave & Busters location, but Bachus admitted that they’re not so confident about how it will do in the long run, as fighting games tend to start strong in the arcades but eventually peters out when the console versions debut.
