We have previously posted news about Pokemon X and Y’s impressive sales figures during its launch weekend, and while enjoying the newly minted games on your Nintendo 3DS should be enough celebration for the event, Cartoon Network is not content and will instead let fans celebrate harder by airing Pokemon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened for the first time ever in the US.

Pokemon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened will air this coming Saturday, October 19th, on Cartoon Network at exactly 12:30 PM ET/PT. The film will feature two of the most powerful pokemon in the series to date, fan favorite legendary Mewtwo and Red Genesect. The two extremely powerful Pokemon are set on a collision course, with Ash, Pikachu, and the gang caught in the middle.

Fans will also get a sneak peek at the upcoming Pokemon animated series Pokémon the Series: XY, when two episodes air on Cartoon Network right after Pokémon the Movie: Genesect and the Legend Awakened. The day begins when Cartoon Network airs an encore presentation of Pokémon the Movie: Kyurem vs. the Sword of Justice at 11:00 a.m. (ET, PT).
