Pokemon Black 2 and White 2: First Details
A lot of fans were initially worried that Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, being the first actual pokemon sequels (based on the number suffixes), would not have any significant changes over Pokemon Black and White. But recently, the Japanese manga magazine Coro Coro has revealed a few juicy details about Black and White 2 that may pacify most of the worried fans.
According to CoroCoro, the game is still set in Unova, the region from the first Black and White games, but it features new locations, new gym leaders, new trainers, and even a new rival.
The games will be set two years after the events of Black and White, and the Unova region has already undergone major changes, part of which include large portions of the map being frozen in ice (perhaps because of a legendary Ice Pokemon going on a rampage?). The other areas were altered from what they were like in Black and White.
As for Pokemons, CoroCoro stated that the Unova Pkedex now has 300 pokemon entries, compared to 155 in the original Black and White. It’s also said that Black Kyurem will have access to the move Freeze Shock, while White Kyurem will have Ice Burn. Familiar monsters from other generations spotted in the updated Unova Pokedex include Psyduck, Riolu, Metagross, Tyranitar, Lapras and Arcanine.
