Pokemon Go Gets a Revamp via New Quest System
Despite its massive popularity, Pokemon GO initially got a lot of flak for being barebones and pretty much lacking in direction. But that time has since come and gone – the ARG in its current state is chock full of things to do outside of simply catching random Pokemon during your daily walk to the bus stop.
The biggest change is the addition of a new quest system, which single-handedly turned the ARG into a full-blown video game that accommodates both the casual and the committed. The app now has a never-ending list of tasks that can be completed at your own pace.
Additionally, the big addition is the questline for Mew. Not only is mew the first mythical Pokemon and one of the most eye-catching additions to the ARG, the questline also marks the first real storyline for Pokemon GO. It is a multi-part adventure that offers rewards along the way, and can be done either solo or with other players.
