Was that capital “c” on purpose? You tell us! Nintendo has recently revealed an upcoming venture called the Pokemon Trainer Challenge. The premise is a Flash-based website that uses the internet as your battle ground. Gamers can face off against 12 virtual trainers across three leagues using three pre-constructed decks and a Pokémon Trainer Club. The goal is to help you learn enough about the game in your training that you can go whomp on your friends during lunch breaks. At least, that’s the first goal. Could Nintendo be using this testing ground as a testing ground, to see if trading card gamers enjoy the virtual experience? Could we see player-vs-player challenges for Pokemon Black and White online soon enough? I guess the future is still a little too Chaotic to know for sure. But we’ll be watching — and playing!
