Pokemon U.S. National Championships to be Held in Indiana

Thousands of America’s top Pokemon Trading Card Game and Video game players will once again meet and share in their common love for the franchise this July 5 – 7 at the Indiana Convention Center for the 2013 Pokemon U.S. National Championships, where top contenders will vie for the crown of U.S. National Champion.

Champs and top ranking competitors in both the Trading Card Game and Video Game categories will earn Travel Awards, as well as invitations to the 2013 Pokemon World Championships, which will be held at Vancouver, Canada in August 9-11.

Even if you’re not an active competitor, there’s still reason to attend and bring your Nintendo DS or 3DS system along with your copy of Pokemon Black, White, Black 2, or White 2, as attendees can articipate in a special character distribution, receiving a powerful Metagross based on the one used by World Champion Ray Rizzo in the 2012 Pokémon World Championships. Attendees can also take part in Pokémon League events, where they can earn special Pokémon-themed prizes.

The 2013 Pokémon TCG U.S. National Championships will begin Friday, July 5, at 9:00 A.M., while the Pokémon Video Game U.S. National Championships will begin on Saturday, July 6, at 9:00 A.M. Both events will take place at the Indiana Convention Center, located at 100 South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225, and will conclude Sunday, July 7.
