The Powerpuff Girls Return to Cartoon Network in January
One of the iconic animated shows that helped put Cartoon Network on the map, The Powerpuff Girls, will be returning to the network on January 20, 2014 at 7:30 pm ET/PT via the new animated special titled ‘Dance Pantsed.’
Dance Pantsed will not only feature the return of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, but will also see them teaming up with Beatles legend Ringo Starr, who will be making a guest appearance as the world’s most flamboyant mathematician, Fibonacci Sequins. Starr will also perform an original music video and song for the special, titled “I wish I was a Powerpuff Girl.”
Dance Pantsed’s story focuses on the girls as they try to figure out why Mojo Jojo has kidnapped the mathematician Fibonacci Sequins, an opera singer, and a badger. The girls managed to thwart Mojo Jojo again, a defeat that the simian uses as a motivation to invent a sinister new videogame called Dance Pants R-EVIL-ution – a game that can control their minds and bodies. The professor must revisit his dark, dancing past to save his girls so they can save the world.
