Second Season of Powerpuff Girls Greenlit by Cartoon Network
Cartoon Network has recently announced that the all-new Blossom, Bubble, and Buttercup are going to be returning for a second season’s worth of episodes of the revamped PowerPuff Girls series. The series refresh originally aired in April and managed to garner over 81 million viewers all over the globe, making it one of the network’s most successful international events to date.
The overwhelming response to the Powerpuff Girls’ return is chalked up to all the positive experiences that the original 1998 series brought to fans, as proven by its two Emmy Award wins and 5 nominations, along with a successful showing on different platforms and merchandise.
The second season of the revamped Powerpuff Girls will be produced by cartoon Network Studios, with Nick Jennings (Adventure Time, SpongeBob SquarePants) as EP and Bob Boyle (Clarence) as co-EP. The voice cast is lead by Amanda Leighton (Blossom), Kristen Li (Bubbles) and Natalie Palamides (Buttercup).
