Robot Chicken’s multi-award winning creators and executive producers Seth Green and Matthew Senreich have announced at the NY Comic con that the series will return for its seventh season in 2013.
Robot Chicken first aired in February of 2005, and became one of Adult Swim’s top rating shows as it uses motion animated sketches to skewer pop culture figures and shows on a regular basis. The show is currently airing every Sundays at midnight on the Adult Swim.
Robot Chicken is created and executive produced by Green and Seinreich’s own Stoopid Monkey Production outfit as well as Stoopid Buddy Stoodios partners, Buddy Systems’ John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner, who also serve as executive producers, and Janet Dimon as supervising producer. Green and Senreich also write and voice and Zeb Wells directs.
The show frequently features famous celebrities as guest voice talents, with past shows having featured such notables as 50 Cent, Malin Akerman, Sarah Chalke, Kat Dennings, Ke$ha, Zachary Levi, Seth MacFarlane, Jon Stewart and Joss Whedon.
