Simpsons Producers to Get Special Saturn Award

Simpsons Producers to Get Special Saturn Award

The producers of one of the longest running animated series in the industry, The Simpsons, may have been snubbed by the TV academy along with all the other animation writers, but they will be receiving a special honor at the 38th Annual Saturn Awards on July 26 at the Castaway Event Center in Burbank, California.

The 38th Annual Saturn Awards, which is being produced by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, will also bestow a special achievement award to Dark Crystal director Frank Oz (who is also famous for lending his voice to Yoda and Miss Piggy), along with Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and Dexter actor James Remer. Director Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) will also get a special achievement award, who is also famous for writing Cloverfield. Goddard is also pegged for Spielberg’s upcoming movie Robocalypse.
