50th Anniversary DVD of Charlie Brown’s All Stars Set for Release

2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the much-loved Peanuts TV special Charlie Brown’s All Stars, which received 2 Primetime Emmy Awards after it debuted in 1966 on CBS. To celebrate the occasion, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release a high definition and newly remastered 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition DVD of Charlie Brown’s All Stars on October 4 with an SRP $19.98.

The touching animated special is written by Charles Schulz and directed by Bill Melendez. It focuses on Charlie Brown as he manages the losing local baseball team and the players blame him for their terrible record. Charlie Brown believes that the motivation problems of his team will be solved when a sponsor provides real uniforms and the opportunity to enter an actual league. However, when Charlie discovers that agreeing to the offer means complying with the league’s regulations banning dogs and girls, Charlie Brown confronts a challenging moral dilemma.
