Nickelodeon and the Children’s Place Celebrate the Holidays with SpongeBob Shirts

Nickelodeon has just teamed up with The Children’s Place in order to celebrate the holidays with a brand new, limited edition t-shirt inspired by the half-hour stop motion Christmas special It’s a SpongeBob Christmas!, which airs on Nickelodeon on Dec. 6 at 8 PM. The new line will consist of long-sleeve cotton t-shirts that will retail in more than 900 The Children’s Place retail stores all over the country from Nov 27 to Dec 3, with the shirts’ price starting at $10.

It’s a SpongeBob Christmas! will feature john Goodman as Santa Claus. In the stop-motion special, which is inspired by the Rankin/Bass specials (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town), Plankton will be enacting one of his dastardly plans as he turns everyone in Bikini Bottom naughty via his jerktonium-laced fruitcake. With everyone being naughty, Plankton figures he’d rise to the top of Santa’s nice list, which means he gets his Christmas wish: the Krabby Patty Formula.
