CLIP: Oscar®-Winner J.K. Simmons Guest Stars in SpongeBob SquarePants

Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) will be making his Spongebob Squarepants debut this coming Saturday, March 4 at 10:00 AM (ET/PT) via a brand new episode titled “Snooze You Lose.”

In the episode, Simmons will be lending his voice to a character named Maestro Mackerel, who is a middle-aged and impatient conductor of the Bikini Bottom Philharmonic. Maestro Mackerel is so enamored with beautiful music that it sends him into fits of ecstasy, but bad tunes upset him so much that he goes into aggressive fits where instruments usually end up tied around an unfortunate musician’s head.

The Snooze You Lose episode finds Squidward so tired that Spongebob and Patrick are unable to wake him up, so the bumbling duo decide to resort to help him attend his big addition – through any means possible.
