It’s a Spongebob Christmas! is a full length stop motion animated special that was inspired by the classic Rankin/Bass specials such as Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Comin to Town. The story follows Plankton as he tries to be the only one in Bikini Bottom to appear on Santa’s Nice List by feeding everyone in town a special jerktonium-laced fruitcake. Plankton tries to reach the top of the nice list because he wants to ask Santa for the recipe to the Krabby Patties.
Nickelodeon closed the week as basic cable’s most-watched net in total day with kids 2-11 (2.8/936,000) and total viewers (1.8 million).
