SpongeBob Movie Release Date Moved, Again

The release date for Paramount’s third SpongeBob film has been moved yet again. But don’t fret, because it’s actually showing earlier. From its July 31, 2020 scheduled release, the date has been moved two weeks earlier so that fans will now be able to watch their favorite Bikini Bottom residents on July 17, 2020.

The SpongeBob Movie has been through a previous schedule change, because the original release date was August 1, 2019 before being pushed back a full year. The new July 17 release date puts it in direct competition with Fox’s Bob’s Burgers feature, which is currently untitled. It will also screen near an untitled Marvel movie scheduled for July 31, so SpongeBob has his work cut out for him.
